Laura Bailey x L.K.Bennett: Shoes & bags for SS15

Now this is a match made in fashion heaven! Model Laura Bailey has teamed up with L.K.Bennett London for Spring Summer 2015. The 33-year-old model, writer and style icon will launch a "retro modern capsule collection of five shoes designs and a clutch bag" for the high end high-street store. The inspiration will come from Laura's love of travelling to Amalfi and her many summers spent there. The mood board consists of vibrant colours, geometric prints seen on vintage 60s swimsuits, citrus striped deckchairs and parasols and the graphic sails of the yachts cruising the Mediterranean.

L.K.Bennett, aka Kate Middleton's fave go-to shop, promise a collection that is "contemporary with a touch of nostalgia" and will feature "a statement block heeled sandal, pointed crossover strap flat, ankle-strap kitten heel, playful summer flat and a sharper pointed stiletto." Talking about her new role, Laura said: "Working with L.K. Bennett was an irresistible opportunity to dream up my perfect summer shoes, whilst leaning on their technical expertise. I first visited and fell in love with the Amalfi coast in my twenties for shoots and road (Vespa!) trips, and more recently, for family holidays and stolen weekends; it seemed the perfect place to seek inspiration for this project. I love the whole creative process from the initial mood boards to the first samples and shoots, and can't wait to see my designs arrive in stores!" The collection will launch 25 March 2015, and the shoes will range from £195 to £295, and the clutch will cost £275. It will be available in store and on lkbennett.com.
